7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Where

Chapel
1187 Beacon Street, Brookline

Please join us on Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 pm as we host a discussion with members of Kibbutz Magen, one of 32 communities close to the Gaza border that were attacked on October 7th. Kibbutz Magen, in its process of healing and rebuilding, seeks to build bridges to Jewish communities in the US. Please join us to learn and to reflect on resilience and the connections among the Jewish people in Israel and the Diaspora. Here is an article about the impactful visit the group made last spring to the Boston area.

Speakers will include: Gilad Blank, Magen’s Secretariat who fought on 10/7, Sharon Yunger, Magen kibbutz member and 10/7 survivor, and Jessica Slavin Connelley, a Malden resident who visited Magen in July and will bring her insights as a Jewish educator and activist in the greater Boston area. Following the panel conversation, light refreshments will be served.

Please enter through the glass doors on Marshal Street next to the parking lot.
